This session will introduce Buffalo State faculty to E. H. Butler Library's Scholarly Communication services. Scholarly communication is, "the system through which research and other scholarly writings are created, evaluated for quality, disseminated, and preserved for future use," (http://www.arl.org). This session will highlight online tools related to publishing and how they may be used to inform and manage the publication process, from research resources to citation management to professional bios to journal identification to author rights to manuscript preparation. Faculty will walk away from this session with a greater understanding of how scholarly communication issues impact them and their ability to publish research effectively.
