The 2015 Pedagogical Institute is sponsored by the Professional Development Center, National Coalition Building Institute, University College and with support of the Buffalo State College Senate.
On Monday, May 18, at 2:00 p.m. in E. H. Butler 208, we will discuss the college's Carnegie Classification.
In January 2015, Buffalo State was recognized as a member of an elite group of colleges that were selected to receive the Carnegie Foundation's Community Engagement Classification. This session will explore what that classification means—how it connects to our history, relates to various ongoing initiatives and commitments, and encourages us all to think creatively about what we do in our classes, with our students, and community partners. Gary Welborn and Kevin Railey will be joined by people from VSLC, CAC, CEURE, and AFP to present about this topic.
