The Social and Psychological Foundations of Education Department is a non-degree, service-focused department committed to the study of teaching and learning through insights gathered from a number of disciplines.
Faculty members come from within diverse academic disciplines traditionally associated with educational foundations and are committed to high-quality instruction, service, and scholarship that examines the role of education in bringing about progress and democratic participation in our society.
Courses are grounded in educational foundations and are guided by developmental sciences, critical analysis, and social and political action.
